On August 29th, 2023, the China International Leather Exhibition (ACLE) kicked off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. As an important leather industry trading platform in China, China International Leather Exhibition brings together industry representatives, innovators, and enthusiasts from all over the world. This year's exhibition will showcase new breakthroughs in the leather industry, providing unprecedented opportunities for expanding networks, sharing knowledge, and promoting business growth. In a vibrant atmosphere, coupled with exciting exhibitions, demonstrations, and interactive activities, the China International Leather Exhibition will serve as a catalyst to promote the leather industry towards a prosperous future.

It is reported that this exhibition covers an area of more than 80000 square meters, and more than 1000 well-known enterprises from nearly 30 countries and regions, such as the United States, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Spain, Türkiye, will join hands. It is estimated that more than 20000 professional visitors will be received on site.

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the automotive sales sector is expected to grow by 3% this year, which is also good news for the automotive leather industry. Therefore, automotive leather will become the highlight of this year's China International Leather Exhibition.

As an indicator of business confidence, the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) plays an important role. The purchasing manager indices in the United States and Europe are 46.4% and 42.7%, respectively; The Purchasing Managers Index for July in China was 49.3%. This means that compared to other countries, China is prepared to become an active buyer of supplies and raw materials to meet the demand in the manufacturing sector, including leather.

During the exhibition period from August 29th to 31st, a series of exciting activities will be held to support the development of China's leather and manufacturing industries. On the first day, Aiken Organosilicon will showcase environmentally friendly leather additives designed specifically for low-carbon and sustainable silicone paint technology fabrics; The International Leather Industry Development Summit Forum will gather industry experts for in-depth discussions. On the second day, multiple expert seminars were held, covering topics such as the constantly changing landscape of the leather industry, bisphenols in the leather production process, solutions for source tracing and big data, and the trustworthy OEKO-TEX ®  LEATER STANDARDS standard and proprietary insights into the 2024 Spring/Summer leather industry. On the third day, we will explore the application of water-based high silicone resin in the textile and leather industries.

In order to better build a platform for technology, trade, exchange, and service, and showcase the latest achievements and applications of new materials, technologies, equipment, and products in the leather industry, four special new product and technology press conferences will be launched during the exhibition, including leather, leather chemicals, footwear equipment, and Xinji leather industry. Enterprises (industrial bases) will share their cutting-edge research achievements and experiences in recent years on site.
